Restore your video with AI, on your own GPU
Upscale, denoise, fix faces and smooth motion. FrameScale AI is a free, open-source desktop app that runs entirely on your computer: no accounts, no uploads, no watermarks.
A complete restoration pipeline
Turn on the stages you need. They always run in the right order, on the GPU, with a live 2-second preview of the real result before you commit to a render.
Deinterlace
Motion-adaptive BWDIF for old TV and camcorder footage.
Denoise
NAFNet for camera noise, Real-CUGAN for anime. Four strengths.
Upscale
×2 or ×4 with Real-ESRGAN, with a noise-removal slider.
Face Fix
Detects faces and restores them with CodeFormer.
Interpolate
×2–×4 frame rate with RIFE, aware of scene cuts.
See it before you render
Scrub your clip, render 2 seconds of the exact pipeline with live progress, and compare split or side by side.
Never lose a render
Jobs are written in 4-second segments and journaled. Pause, quit or crash, and the render resumes where it stopped.
Keeps everything else
HDR10 and HLG, aspect ratio, audio (copied bit-exact), subtitles, chapters and metadata all carry over.
Private by design
Your videos never leave your computer. No accounts, no cloud processing, no analytics.
Modern output
HEVC 10-bit, AV1 10-bit or H.264 (ProRes on macOS), with NVENC, AMF, Quick Sync, VAAPI or VideoToolbox when available.
Eco mode
Hold a GPU temperature target or a fixed duty cycle, so long renders stay quiet and cool.
Proven open models, bundled and verified
Every model ships with the app and is pinned by SHA-256. Models without an official ncnn export are converted from the authors' own weights at build time, and checked against their reference output.
